Family Trip to Mystic Seaport and Mystic Aquarium
What could be more fun?! Arrive at the Howard
Johnson Mystic Friday night. Eat a light dinner at Bickfords
Family Restaurant adjacent to the hotel, or enjoy dinner at the
Go Fish Restaurant (great seafood) or the Steak Loft, both near
the hotel.
Saturday morning after breakfasting, and perhaps a quick dip in
the beautiful indoor pool, head to the famous Mystic
Seaport. Plan on spending much of the day if you are history
buffs and boating enthusiasts. There are continuous activities throughout
the day of interest to all age groups. Next head out to the newly
expanded Mystic
Aquarium. In the evening head to either Foxwoods
Resort Casino or the Mohegan
Sun Casino for an exciting evening of gambling, dining and entertainment.
For an interesting and different experience,
spend Sunday morning at the $225 million Pequot
American Indian Museum. You will be transported hundreds of
years into the past and find yourself in a life-sized Native American
village. Learn about Native life and lore. You will be amazed.
If you have energy left, stop at the Nautilus
Submarine Exhibit in Groton on the way home, or stop at the
Westbrook
or Clinton
Outlet Malls for a great selection of well-priced brand name

Baseball
Madness!!!
Drive to Hershey and start your baseball madness
at a Harrisburg Senators game and stay at the Howard
Johnson Harrisburg/Hershey after a big dinner at Doc Holliday's

to Darien, CT and check in at the Howard
Johnson Darien and take a break in it's outdoor pool. Then head

Leave Saturday morning to tour the four western Connecticut vineyards

your way east and stay at the Days
Inn Niantic or the Howard
Johnson Mystic. Saturday night enjoy dinner at the Go Fish
Restaurant, including a glass of wine at the wine bar to start.
Get up Sunday morning and tour the four Eastern Connecticut vineyards
to finish off the tour. Or if you can arrange your trip during
the week, make reservations in advance for the Tuesday night wine
tasting at Go Fish Restaurant in Mystic. Reservations are required
